Centers for Women and Families will provide essential services to domestic violence and sexual assault victims in New Jersey. These centers have 24-hour hotlines, and all services are confidential
Some Women Shelters are funded by the Department of Social Services, while others are run by non-profit organizations or are SAFE HOMES provided by members of the community.

Some shelters have adopted an open address strategy, others work to ensure resident security by keeping the shelter's location a secret and residents and staff are instructed not to reveal the address of the shelter.
