Clerks may provide information and the appropriate forms necessary, but are prohibited by law from giving legal advice or assisting, drafting or preparing legal documents. By choosing Do-IT-Yourself filers can save the money that would be necessary to hire an bankruptcy attorney. The cost to file on your own ranges from $200 to $400 Dollars. It will include filing fees, trustee surcharge, and administrative fees.
